Brand new Fiberglass rear door handle cover for discovery 2.
Excellent quality and durability against the Aussie Sun.
Due to the nature of the manufacturing process of fiberglass, the fitting is a little different to factory.
No rubber seal is needed.
Please see fitting notes below.
Remove existing cover (I find it's easiest to remove the rear door actuator to give clear access to all bolt holes) and remove handle as this needs to be fitted inside the fiberglass handle. (See pic 1)
Remove original number plate lights and wiring and re fit to new handle. (See pic 2)
Fit lights by using origional stainless screws and hand screw into pre drilled holes in the fiberglass cover and plug into wiring (Pic 3 & 4)
Fit original handle into the fiberglass cover so bolts protrude from back of the cover. ( pic 5 & 6)
Align handle and cover onto door using the 2 handle Bolts back into their original holes and hand tighten the original nuts. (Pic 7)
Fit the supplied bolts through the existing origional holes in the door,
To the handle and hand tighten. (Pic 8)
Fit original bolt (accessed through badge hole) (Pic 9)
Align handle to make sure it's sitting correctly and tighten all nuts and bolts.
Re fit original Land Rover Logo badge. (Pic 10) they are tight, but do fit.
